What ties @ScaryMommy @Dooce & @MompreneurMogul together- #SocialMedia

So many times people ask about social media. They have a ton of question such as “What is the point, does it matter and how does it help business?”  In this post I am going to demonstrate hopefully once and for all the power of social media and what it can do to increase your social proof, your relationships and ultimately your business. Today I received this tweet from Blogtrepreneur:

I thought to myself “Very cool I’ll go check it out” I was surprised to see Dooce and ScaryMommy and some other awesome women on the list too. It was a great feeling to be listed with them.

Then it hit me. This is what I am talking about when I share the power of social media.

Not only did I gain a ton of new followers again and fairly quickly, &  newsletter subscribers, but I get to meet some amazing women and build relationships.

When you are active in social media you never know where you’re next opportunity will come from.  It was social media that brought me:

Two wonderful women business owners that I had great meetings with on the phone

One major social media entrepreneur who was wonderful

Received the award by Circle of Moms for Top 25 Mom Tech

Landed on the home page of Yahoo!

Sold many copies of my book and continue to do so.

Approached for some killer partnerships

Won @BrendonBurchard tickets to High Performance Academy

Listed as Blogtrepreneur’s Top 40 Mompreneurs To Follow

and a ton of other perks.

This also prompted a movement on LinkedIN with my new group “Women Entrepreneurs Who Change The World” come and check it out.

So in this climate where business is no longer held behind the confines of a desk, and opportunities abound, I just want to ask you- What are you waiting for? Are you using social media to it’s highest potential because if not you could be missing some amazing opportunities.

I’d also like to express my thanks to Adam and Matthew the brothers behind Blogtrepreneur who listed me as one of the Top 40 Mompreneurs to follow on Twitter. Below are 10 and for the rest of the list  visit Blogtrepreneur by clicking this link HERE.
