Toys R Us Sells Meth & Breaking Bad Dolls To Your Child

I wish I could say again I’m making this up. But you can’t make something this ignorant and this stupid up. Toys R Us has decided that it has ZERO conscious about your child and it only cares about making money off the show Breaking Bad even if it has to sell meth to your child in order to do it. If you haven’t heard they are selling Breaking Bad Dolls that are meth cookers on the show complete with meth bags and suits. WOW that’s exactly what I hope my child grows up to be right?  A meth cooker. I’m sorry Toys R Us but you are idiots and so is any parent who buys this doll.

This is a little personal for me because years ago I had a dancer I hired only to find out her stupid boyfriend was a meth cooker. The next time I saw her was when I visited her in the hospital to see this amazing and beautiful dancer with half her arm had  blown off and her leg! Because they tried to hide the meth from the cops and it exploded.

So Toys R Us you are not only clearly ignorant for not knowing the dangers of this drug but you are EXTREMELY IRRESPONSIBLE.

They justify their decision like this:

Toys R Us has released a statement clarifying that the Breaking Bad packaging “clearly notes that the items are intended for ages 15 and up” and that they’re only sold “in the adult action figure area of our stores.” Yet Today Show staffers found the drug dealer figures within arm’s reach of G.I. Joe dolls, Super Mario Brothers figures, and other products of obvious interest to kids. Schrivjer and her supporters are of the opinion that the Breaking Bad figures shouldn’t be sold anywhere in a toy store: “Its violent content and celebration of the drug trade make this collection unsuitable to be sold alongside Barbie dolls and Disney characters.”

SO according to Toys R Us OK TO SELL THESE BREAKING BAD DOLLS TO 15 YEAR OLDS?! Do you want your 15 year old cooking meth?! This doll also carries a bag of cash and crystal meth!!

Here is a note to Toys R Us Execs: ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?! WHAT EXACTLY ARE YOU TRYING TO DO? ARE YOU SUPPORTING 15 YEAR OLDS cooking & PLAYING WITH Crystal METH?

I shop your store for my daughter all the time.  I will not until you remove these pathetic and useless dolls.

I just shake my head not only at Toys R Us but the amount of parents saying this is OK for their children or saying it’s not a big deal because it’s for parents not kids. Do you know how many kids I see wandering through Toys R Us with NO parent in tow? A lot. These are the same parents who will be crying and screaming “WHY DID THIS HAPPEN?!”  when their kid is ushered off to  jail. It happened because you didn’t think it was a big deal. And it is. It’s a VERY Big deal.

This just shows me how low we have fallen as parents. How blind we are. How foolish to think that it’s OK to give your kid a doll with a bag of crystal meth.

Breaking Bad dolls are not only bad they are hurting our children. As if our children don’t already get enough violent messages.  This is just another way for the dark things of this world to lay hold of your child. And if you are so blind that you can’t see that? I don’t even know what to say.

It also shows me how sad we have become as an industry. That a wonderful place like Toys R Us filled with stuffed giraffes and wonder for my 3 year old now has an aisle I’d have to avoid.

I’m so glad this mom let me know because it’s not just the aisle I will be avoiding it will be the entire store.

DON’T SIT AND DO NOTHING PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION TO TELL TOYS R US YOU ARE NOT OK WITH THEM SELLING METH TO YOUR CHILDREN EVEN IF IT’S IN THE FORM OF A BREAKING BAD DOLL. Here is the petition Get Breaking Bad Dolls Off the Shelf!

Tweet Toys R Us And Tell them This is wrong!  https://twitter.com/toysrus

Call Their stores and tell them to take these meth cookers off the shelf!

It’s up to us to protect our children and if you are silent that signals to them that it’s OK and this is anything but OK. God help our children.

I see lots of things all over the place that are inappropriate for my children but I don’t demand they be taken down or hidden. I parent my kids.
