I was born in Massachusetts moved to Michigan when I was only five. Raised in Detroit went to EMU , quit EMU, went on the road to become a gypsy. Well not really a gypsy but the closest you can come to it without actually being one I was a singer in a band. I traveled all over the USA singing in clubs and theme parks until our band passed through Vegas.
That’s when I became an impersonator. Yup those weird people you see on Oprah, & Ellen who dress and sing like famous celebrities, that was me. I performed as Shania, Cher, Marilyn Monroe & others. I loved the work I traveled from China, Bahamas, Thailand, Japan and everywhere in between. I had been pretty successful, but was ready for change.

On one of my gigs I met Chad. He was hot, mouthy, and had a custom Harley I knew he was the man for me. LOL I still performed & traveled around the country. I really enjoyed being a newlywed we were married July 18, 2008. But I knew my life was about to change. I was ready to do something new. At the time we were trying to get pregnant it had only been four months but both mothers were telling me to get checked, go to the doctor ( I was 40). Monday” Are you pregnant? “no” Tuesday ” Are you pregnant? ” NO” Wednesday “Are you Pregnant” “NOO” ” How bout now? ” Holy Crap if I’m pregnant I’ll know and then I’ll tell you stop asking every day! I knew I’d get pregnant so I just ignored the stress and we tried on.
An opportunity came up at church to be a receptionist. I knew it would be like putting a wild butterfly in a cage after all most of my life I have been self-employed and a traveling gypsy. Now I’d have to work from 8-5 in an office. But if you want a change you have to CHANGE. So I took the job. I still sang just didn’t impersonate any longer. One week at my new job and I found out Matilda was on her way. We were excited but totally unprepared.
I knew being at church was a divine set up . No more smoky clubs I got to sit all day it was great.
The most precious gift I’ve ever received came into my life April 1, 2011. Matilda Grace Hanson
I know I don’t have to tell any of you awesome moms how life changes when the baby comes. I didn’t want to be away from her 9 hours a day so I quit my job at church. That was before colic and reflux, and temper tantrums, and days of no sleep…but I must love punishment I still want to be with her all day.
My Pastor asked if I would do research for her upcoming book from home. Perfect! So that brings us to today.
I’m creating a new baby product that will make moms life easier it’s already a prototype and now I’m going through the process.
That’s how this blog started to share tips with you. Then it blossomed into a blog about blogging, hmm that’s odd. Anyway here we are and I haven’t looked back. About my baby product, I can’t wait to share it with all of you and hear all about your stories. Being a mother is the greatest thing I’ve ever done and I intend to enjoy every minute of it from teething the smiles and everything in between! That’s my story….what’s yours?
